It's not too late to choose your word of the year for 2022
Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of new years resolutions, but often they are about stopping things you enjoy, or starting something that feels punishing. That is why choosing a word of the year is a fun and simple way to point your intention in the right direction.
Having a word of the year helps you remember the person you want to be, and guides you through decisions, big and small, throughout the year. Your word encourages you to focus on what’s important, especially when things get busy. When your focus is clear, it’s easier to stay aligned and achieve your goals.
How do I choose a word of the year?
First, reflect on last year - what word would you use to sum that up? Is that a word you'd like to focus on for this year? For me the first word that comes to mind for 2021 is "hard" and I certainly don't want to feel that way this year.
Next, do some journaling on how you'd like your year to go, script it out as if you're the main character in your movie. What do you want to achieve? What do you want to feel? What experiences do you hope to have?
